Al Wakra Municipality conducts 897 inspections in food outlets

Doha: Al Wakra Municipality carried out 897 inspection drives of food establishments in the last month.

The campaign resulted in the closure of a popular restaurant and two food establishments for violating Law No. 8 of 1990 regarding regulation of human food control.

It also registered 21 violations and received 9 complaints.

The Health Control Section also supervised the slaughter of 18,108 animals at Al Wakra, during which 245 whole slaughters were destroyed and 5,360 kg were partially destroyed.

The officials also examined about 47.5 tons of fish inside the fish market in Al Wakra and 50kg were destroyed.
