US blacklists 120 organizations from Russia, Belarus
(MENAFN- Trend News Agency)
The US Department of Commerce has imposed export-related
sanctions on 120 Russian and Belarusian organizations, related to
defense, aerospace and naval sectors, Trend reports citing TASS .
A document uploaded to the US federal Register says those
organizations were determined to be 'acting contrary to the
national security interests or foreign policy of the United
States.'
Those entities were added to the sanctions list 'for acquiring
and attempting to acquire items subject to the EAR [Export
Administration Regulations] in support of Russia's military
modernization efforts.'
The move means that those organizations will no longer have a
chance to obtain advanced US technologies without a license.
License applications will be reviewed under the policy of denial,
the document says.
