Outstanding PISQ student honoured

Said Ali, a Pakistan International School Qatar (PISQ) student, who bagged the second position in Commerce group of HSSC-II in the FBISE Annual Examination 2020-2021, was awarded a cash prize, laptop, medal and a merit certificate at the 36th Annual Prize Ceremony organised by the federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Islamabad, recently. PISQ principal Nargis Raza Otho also attended the ceremony.
The event, which hosted eminent figures from the Pakistani Political and academic fields, was held to honour the first, second and third place winners at the matriculation and intermediate levels for academic year 2020-2021. The chief guest was Shafqat Mahmood, federal minister for education and professional training, Pakistan. Education secretary Naheed Shah Durrani, also graced the occasion.
Among all overseas schools affiliated with FBISE, only two institutions, including PISQ, received the honour of being invited to the prestigious event.
Said Ali has raised the name of the country abroad with his untiring efforts and this, no doubt, is a gratifying moment for the student, his parents, teachers, institution and all Pakistani expats living abroad, a PISQ statement said.
Principal Otho expressed deep satisfaction over the performance of the school and also congratulated Said Ali, his parents and teachers for this momentous achievement and wished him the best for all his future endeavours.
Ambassador of Pakistan to Qatar ,Syed Ahsan Raza Shah, also commended the high achiever and praised the school and teachers for their admirable role in bringing honour to the country.
