While the US has banned Russian oil imports and the UK plans to phase them out by year-end, the EU faces a much bigger challenge in weaning itself off Russian energy, relying on the country for more than 25% of its oil and up to 40% of its gas. In this podcast ING's head of commodities strategy Warren Patterson tells senior editor Rebecca Byrne whether the EU's plan to cut Russian supplies by two-thirds this year is realistic, and what he's expecting from the rest of the commodities complex over the coming months.
