Qatar - GECF to host webinar on gas today

Doha: The gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), the global platform of the leading gas producing countries, will organise a webinar on the topic of 'Natural gas in the aftermath of COP26' today at 3pm Doha time via videoconference.
A stellar line-up of speakers will express its views and insights on the main outcomes of COP26, address the potential impact on the energy scene in general, and on Natural gas in particular, and explore the potential responses of the gas industry to deal with the emerging challenges and support the sustainable role of natural gas.
“COP26 outcome could be considered as a milestone in the global community efforts to tackle the issue of climate change, while alleviating poverty, supporting economic development and expanding prosperity. Natural gas will play a crucial role in this context. I express my congratulations to the GECF founder member, the Arab Republic of Egypt, for hosting COP27” said Eng. Mohamed Hamel, Secretary General, GECF.
