Amman, Jan. 14 (Petra)-- Minister of Agriculture Khaled Hneifat said that both agriculture ministries in Jordan and Lebanon have agreed on exchanging agro exports without previous licensing to facilitate the task of farmers whose work is linked to the dollar exchange rates.
He told Petra that within the framework of the ministry's efforts to increase agricultural exports and establish trade relations with countries on the basis of mutual benefit and reciprocity in the exchange of agricultural products, priority was given to importing bananas during the period of supplementary import from Lebanon in exchange for importing vegetables from the Kingdom.
The ministry, Hneifat added, has urged Jordan Exporters and Producers Association for Fruit and Vegetables to communicate with their Lebanese counterparts in order to export Jordanian agricultural products to Lebanon without prior licenses.
