Saudi Arabia ranks first in indoor climbing sport


(MENAFN) A Dammam gym built in Saudi Arabia introduced climbing to the nation’s populace, opening doors to beginners and professionals.

the country’s initial indoor climbing gym Dyno Gym turned into a hub for ambitious climbers and well-experienced ones, offering the medium for their meeting to interact and exchange stories.

Mohammed Banjari, the co-founder of the gym, said to Arab News that the sport of climbing is for the community more than other sports, as it can be an intense physical activity which lets friends and family members strengthen their bond.

He stated, “I first thought climbing was not competitive and serious. But when I was exposed to the culture, I realized that it is a lot more serious, and requires critical thinking and teamwork, almost like solving a puzzle with your body.”
