Ukraine: State Property Fund announces Odesa Wine Factory acquisition price


(MENAFN) Ukraine’s State Property Fund declares that the Odesa Sparkling Wine Factory is open to buyers with a starting cost of USD3.18 million.

The State Property Fund’s media briefing noted in a Facebook post, “The Odesa Sparkling Wine Factory, one of the oldest enterprises, was put up for privatization. It was here in 1899 that the history of sparkling wine production in Ukraine began.”

The wine plant was established with cellars to sustain a size of 2 million wine bottles, a construction with built-in production facilities, and secondary facilities. For over 100 years of its establishment, the making of wine at the Odesa plant was ceased multiple times, 2018 was the last year it got shut down.

The Fund mentions, “Since then, the state has not produced wine at the factory, and its capacities were later leased out.”
