Iran’s export to Iraq increases by 15 percent in 8 months


(MENAFN) According to the Iranian secretary-general of Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce announcement, Iran’s worth of export to Iraq has increased by 15 percent in the period from March 21 till November 21 of the present Iranian calendar year, in comparison to the corresponding time span of the previous year.

Hamid Hosseini stated while talking about the increase of oil profits, "the value of Iran's exports to Iraq in the first eight months of this year, increased by USD800 million to stand at $6.1 billion, and this export trend has risen in the second half of the year."

In the meantime, the chairperson of Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce has stated Iran is aiming to enhance its yearly trade with adjacent Iraq to USD20 billion.

The official further mentioned, “despite all events that are happening in the region, the relationship between the two countries of Iran and Iraq are on the upward trajectory.”
