Putin sends congratulations to new German president Olaf Scholz


(MENAFN) Russian Leader Vladimir Putin sent congratulations to Olaf Scholz who became Germany’s new president in place of Angela Merkel.

Russian Putin in a telegram, shared on the Kremlin website stated that Russia and Germany’s bonds were significant for entire Europe.

Putin added “I look forward to establishing a constructive dialogue with you and working together on topical issues on the bilateral and international agenda. This would undoubtedly meet the fundamental interests of Russians and Germans, and would contribute to strengthening stability and security at the regional and global level.”

Russian president, during an another telegram, dispatched "sincere gratitude" to Merkel for productive teamwork and willingness for respectful discussion.
