Ukraine - Senik, Australian ambassador discuss cooperation between two countries


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Senik discussed with Ambassador of Australia to Ukraine Bruce Edwards the assistance for Ukrainian companies entering the Australian market, Ukrinform reports, referring to the Ukrainian ministry's press service.

At the meeting, the parties discussed steps to strengthen cooperation between Ukraine and Australia in the political, trade, scientific and technical spheres, as well as within international organizations.

Senik thanked Australia for its unconditional support for Ukraine's Sovereignty and territorial integrity, and for joining the Crimea platform.

According to Ukrainian statistics, over the first nine months of 2021, bilateral trade amounted to $129 million: exports of goods from Ukraine to Australia reached $44.4 million (an increase of 55.6%), and imports of Australian products to Ukraine - $84.6 million (an increase of 369.4%).

As reported by Ukrinform, Australia has suspended the opening of borders due to a fast-spreading new strain of the coronavirus.
