Saudi Kingdom condemns Israel’s Hanukkah celebration in Ibrahimi Mosque

(MENAFN) On Monday, Nov. 29 Saudi Arabia denounced a formal trip made by Isaac Herzog, the Israeli president, to the Ibrahimi Mosque in the West Bank city of Hebron to celebrate the Jewish festival of Hanukkah, as stated by internal reporters.

The move is seen as a “flagrant violation of the sanctity of the mosque,” noted the country’s formal news agency SPA, while referencing a report made by the Kingdom’s Foreign Ministry.

The ministry mentioned that this act is “hostile and provokes feelings of Muslims all over the world,” in addition to Israel’s responsibility for the horrible outcomes of the act.
