Ukraine to invest UAH 34B in development of aircraft manufacturing - Shmyhal


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukraine will invest over UAH 34 billion in the development of aircraft manufacturing until 2030.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this in his speech at the infrastructure forum“Great Construction: Aviation. Tourism” on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“We have a strategic document […] entitled State Targeted Scientific and Technical Program for the Development of the Aviation Industry for 2021-2030. This program includes a very important well-targeted road map together with the world's best experience in the development of aircraft manufacturing. The total amount of investments in the actual development of Ukrainian aircraft industry is projected at more than UAH 34 billion in these years,” Shmyhal said.

According to him, almost 45 high-tech aircraft manufacturing companies received tax benefits until January 1, 2025, including exemption from income tax, VAT, land tax, import duties on high-tech equipment. According to the Prime Minister, this will also contribute to the development of the industry.

Shmyhal stressed that the total state investment in infrastructure projects amounted to UAH 3.4 billion in 2021.
