Qatar - Tree Planting at Airport Park


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Public Parks Department of the Ministry of Municipality, in co-operation with Milaha, on Wednesday organised an event to plant a number of trees in the airport park. According to an official press statement by the Ministry of Municipality, this was held as part of the initiative to plant one million trees with the participation of Mohamed Ibrahim al-Sada, Assistant Director of the Public Parks Department and Mohamed Abdullah Swidan, Executive Vice President of Milaha Offshore. Mohamed Abdullah Swidan said that the participation in the initiative to plant a million trees comes from the company's commitment to the principle of social responsibility and it's keenness to reduce the negative environmental impacts resulting from it's operations. He stressed the commitment of Milaha to support all environmental and social initiatives that contribute to the preservation of environmental diversity and the sustainability of natural resources, in addition to the implementation of the Milaha Environmental Management System, which aims to reduce carbon intensity, treat waste and emissions resulting from the company's fleet operations, and comply with national and international regulations and regulations in preserving the environment.
