(MENAFN) On Sunday, the Turkish ambassador to Bangladesh stated that his country aims at improving collaboration among aid organizations to guarantee “more effective” humanitarian facilities at Rohingya immigrant camps.
Mustafa Osman Turan reported in a conference with officials of aid associations in Bangladesh’s southern Cox’s Bazar district that “there is a gap in cooperation among the various organizations and humanitarian aid agencies working on ground in Rohingya refugee camps.”
About 1.2 million Rohingya who escaped a cruel army crackdown in Myanmar’s Rakhine State live in the world’s biggest immigrant site in Cox’s Bazar.
Turkey has taken a primary part in humanitarian efforts for the Rohingya, and Turan repeated that Ankara is going to persist to do its part for the immigrants.
