COVID-19: India reports 12K new cases, 311 more deaths

(MENAFN- NewsBytes) India on Wednesday reported nearly 12,000 new COVID-19 cases with an active caseload of 1.51 lakh, the lowest in 252 days. Active cases now account for just 0.44% of the total cases, the lowest since March 2020. Correspondingly, the recovery rate was recorded at 98.22%, the highest since March 2020. Meanwhile, India's COVID-19 vaccinations have crossed the 107 crore doses so far.

Although India witnessed a marginal increase in COVID-19 cases on Wednesday compared to the day before, the seven-day rolling average continued to decline.
