Israeli, American scientists create innovative "nano-taxis"


(MENAFN) The northern Israel Institute of Technology (Technion), Israeli and American scientists have made an innovative "nano-taxis" capable of shuttling medicine directly to courage cells in the brain.

The Technion further declared that the new method facilitates the road for treatment of multiple neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, in addition to traumatic brain injuries.

The method was developed in a study led by researchers from the Technion and the Houston Methodist Hospital, and published in the journal Advanced Science.

Therefore; they enhanced nature-mimicking nano-vesicles that function as "vehicles" capable of holding medicine and target specific nerve cells (neurons).
