Wiki Loves Monuments competition invites Qatar-based photographers to participate

Doha: Qatar is participating in the largest photography competition, 'Wiki Loves Monuments'. Qatar National Library, with Qatar Museums and Qatar Photographic Society, is inviting photographers to submit their pictures of 11 monuments that are listed in Wikipedia. 

The participants must be a resident or citizen of Qatar and have to upload the pictures by this month-end, October 31. 

The winning pictures will be selected on the basis of creativity, originality, quality, focus-exposure and composition.

Each participant can upload up to 10 pictures and have to agree to the Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike license to allow further re-use.

Juries for the competition will select 10 winners who will get a chance to be included in the international competition. Prizes will be souvenirs given by Qatar National Library and for the international competition, participants have a chance to win up to €1500 in-kind prizes.
