Doha: Qatar Chamber (QC) signed an agreement with Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company today for purchasing a new building for its headquarters in the Commercial Boulevard in Lusail City.
The signing ceremony was attended by Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari.

The agreement was signed by QC Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani and Qatari Diar CEO Eng Abdulla bin Hamad Al Attiyah on the sidelines of the opening of Cityscape Qatar at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).
Sheikh Khalifa said that the Chamber's new headquarter coincides with the renaissance witnessed by Qatar, stressing that it will be properly equipped to suit all the activities, services, and events provided by the Chamber to the private sector.
The Chamber's current headquarters will be transferred to the new building after it is fully completed, he said, adding that transferring the Chamber to the Commercial Boulevard will further enhance the services it offers its members.
QC Chairman indicated that the Commercial Boulevard is one of the unique projects in Lusail City for its diversity as it consists of spacious buildings designed for multipurpose uses including retail, corporate offices, hotels, residential units, and convention centres.
Qatari Diar CEO said that, the Chamber's shifting to Lusail City is an important addition to the services provided by the city in line with Qatari Diar's vision about Lusail to become the economic capital city of the country.
Commercial Boulevard in Lusail City constitutes a land area of  7,687 square meters and a total rental area of about 17000 square meters with a height of ten floors.
It also will include a wide range of shopping centres, 4 and 5-star hotels, offices, art galleries, libraries, studios, retail spaces, auto showrooms, eateries, and recreational areas.
The Commercial Boulevard is inspired by the Champs-Élysées avenue in France, with its towers surrounding the high gate, and car and pedestrian roads.
Developed by Qatari Diar, Lusail City extends across an area of 38 square kilometers and can accommodate approximately 450,000 people.
