Erdogan calls for each political party to publish drafts for new organization


(MENAFN) The Turkish leader, Recep Tayyip Erdogan advised each political party in parliament to publish their drafts for a new establishment.

During the launch of the new governmental meeting of the parliament, Erdogan announced "A new constitution, which will be prepared with the consensus of our assembly, if possible, will be the best gift we can give to our nation in 2023 [on the centennial of the republic]."

He also wished that political parties in the parliament are going to publish their drafts in the nearest time.

Erdogan added "We launched the initiative [on a new constitution], we are making our preparations."

In 1980, the current Turkish Constitution was created following an armed takeover, and Erdogan has been forcing for a new formation to be drafted under inhabitant law.
