Myanmar: 5 suspects detained over vandalism of aircraft

(MENAFN) On Saturday, Sep. 25 state media said in a report that five suspects were detained for vandalizing aircrafts in Myanmar.

The report noted that a flight of Air KBZ which arranged to fly to Heho of Shan state from Yangon was substituted with another one as leaves were discovered in both of the pilot tubes of the airplane ahead of its journey on Aug. 12.

Because of a malfunction of Auto Pilot System, the substituted flight had to go back to the Yangon International Airport seven minutes after take-off from the airport and it was later discovered that both pilot tubes were full of leaves.

Another airplane was substituted and leaves were discovered in its left pilot tube in the pre-departure check.
