China: Unrefined oil production rises 2.3pct last month


(MENAFN) Formal information presented that Chinese unrefined oil production increased 2.3 percent year over year to 17.03 million tonnes in the past month.

As mentioned by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the August production rose by 4.7 percent from the 2019 level. The daily oil production in August reached 549,000 tonnes.

In the January-August period, China’s crude oil production amounted for 133.22 million tonnes, a rise of 2.4 percent from 2020.

As one of the world's biggest oil purchasers, the country imported 44.53 million tonnes of unrefined oil in the past month, a decline of 6.2 percent year over year.

The NBS information demonstrated that the unrefined oil imports declined 5.7
percent year over year in the first eight months period to 346.36 million tonnes.
