presidents of Turkey, Germany discuss bilateral relations


(MENAFN) An official statement declared that the presidents of Turkey and Germany talked about mutual ties, Afghanistan, and migration issues.

According to Turkey’s Communications Directorate, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier also talked about regional matters.

Erdogan hailed his German counterpart’s commend for the Turkish community in Germany and Turkey, referring to Steinmeier's remarks at a panel.

Steinmeier lauded Turkish immigrants who arrived in Germany in the 1960s for being part of the country’s economic growth and its transformation into a rich, culturally diverse society.
