
Karzai holds phone call with Iran FM

KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai held a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossien Amir Abdollahian, discussing the current situation of Afghanistan.
Office of the former president said in a statement that the two sides stressed on peace and stability in Afghanistan and emboldening of bilateral and neighboring relations.
Karzai called the Islamic Country of Iran a brother and an old friend of Afghanistan. He thanked Tehran's support to the people of Afghanistan during the last 20-year and hoped for continuation of cooperation between the two countries.
