Saudi Arabia's activity expansion in non-oil sector at its lowest in 10 months

(MENAFN) In the non-oil sector weakened in August, Saudi Arabia's activity growth with output enlargement at its lowest since 10 months.

A drop to 54.1 in August from July's 55.8 was indicated by August PMI data from IHS Markit survey data.

The analysis proposed a development in the non-oil sector, regardless of the drop, though a slower progress as the passive recovery was put down in part to increases in Covid-19 cases globally reducing foreign demand.

Economist at IHS Markit stated that: "The non-oil economy went slightly off the boil in August, as output growth slipped to the weakest level for ten months amid a slowdown in new business gains. Whilst domestic orders remained strong and firms saw an upturn in tourist numbers, many businesses continued to find market conditions challenging amid the pandemic."
