Chinese service trade rise 6.7 pct in Jan.-Jun. period


(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Aug. 3 China’s Ministry of Commerce stated that the country’s service trade soared 6.7 percent annually to about 2.38 trillion yuan (around USD367.97 billion) during the first six months of 2021.

Of the overall, service exports hit nearly USD174 billion, a rise by 23.6 percent annually, and service imports came in at about USD193 billion, a decrease 5 percent annually.

In comparison with the very period in 2019, however, service trade fell 9 percent, with service exports rising 20.9 percent and service imports declining 25.6 percent.
