Burma Human Rights slams Myanmar coup regime to rebrand itself

(MENAFN) The Burma Human Rights Network slammed the Myanmar coup regime's effort to rebrand itself as a caretaker government.

The London-based group stated that “Efforts to rebrand themselves to the international community are designed to lure world governments into cooperation under the pretence that the military doesn’t intend to keep control of the country.”

Burma’s military junta was “conducting genocide since 2017” and committed “numerous crimes against humanity since the coup of (February) 2021,” the group further stated.

Kyaw Win, the group's executive director added that “A snake can shed its skin but that doesn’t change what it is.”
