Russia blames U.S. for making trouble within Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) nations


(MENAFN) Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu on Wednesday, blamed the U.S. for making trouble places around the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) nations.

Washington has been employing financial pressure, restrictions, provoking conflicts, and carrying out disinformation campaigns to undermine the situation, and making long-term worries around the SCO, Shoygu revealed at a gathering of the SCO defense ministers in Dushanbe, Tajikistan's capital.

He stated at the meeting that the unsteadiness is most acute in Southeast Asia, where the U.S. is enforcing the organization of structures similar to NATO.

Shoygu stated "Advanced high-readiness groups are being formed, and the forces and means of non-regional states are increasingly being involved in the (military) exercises, which increases the risk of incidents during military activities. Large-scale deployment of the anti-missile defense system and its interface with strike means is being carried out".
