(MENAFN)Aramco Trading Co. (ATC), the Saudi energy giant’s commercial trading arm, started bunkering operations at Yanbu industrial port.
A 6,000-deadweight tonnage (DWT) barge was commissioned by ATC in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy, the Saudi Customs Authority, and the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani). The first delivery of 1,600 metric tons of very low sulphur fuel oil was made to the MT Lake Trout.
ATC storage and blending facilities at Yanbu are ready to provide up to 150,000 metric tons of bunker supplies per month.
“ATC intends to offer a world-class bunker supply service, adopting industry best practices to ensure a safe, reliable, and competitive package to ship owners in one of the world’s busiest sea routes,” Ibrahim Al-Buainain, CEO of ATC.
