Turkey to become important mobile phone manufacturing base

(MENAFN)Turkey is estimated to turn into a significant mobile phone production base with the support of investments by leading companies.
A number of technology companies applied investments in Turkey adding to the country's Economy and creating new jobs.
Chinese tech giant Huawei took the first step around 10 years ago with a research and development (R&D) center. Xiaomi, OPPO, Samsung, TECNO Mobile and TCL followed suit. Realme and Vivo have also made inroads.
The third-largest mobile phone producer in the world, Xiaomi, chose Turkey as the firm's fourth production base globally. The firm launched its Istanbul factory in March with a USD30 million investment and offered 2,000 jobs. The firm began production with its Redmi 9C model.
