Turkish central government's gross debt stock increases 22.5 percent on yearly basis


(MENAFN)According to official figures, the Turkish central government's gross debt stock reached 2 trillion Turkish liras (USD233.48 billion) as of the end of the current month.

The number increased by 22.5 percent on a yearly basis, declared he Treasury and Finance Ministry's data.

The gross debt stock includes the outstanding debt of public sector institutions, the Central Bank, private companies, and households.

Turkey’s local currency dominated about 42.15 percent of the debt stock, as the rest is in foreign currency.
