Turkey’s FM to receive UN representative for Libya

(MENAFN) On Saturday, May. 22 the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu is programmed to receive the UN's special envoy for Libya, Jan Kubis on a two-day stay in Turkey.

Turkey’s ministry noted in a report that Kubis' visit is projected to start on Saturday invited by the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

It further said: "during the meeting, possible steps that could be taken by the international community to support the Government of National Unity and the political settlement process in Libya will be discussed."

Libya has newly seen positive improvement after an advance in which rival parties concurred on Feb. 5 on a combined fresh executive authority that will rule Libya in the lead-up to national polls on Dec. 24.
