Melissa M. Jozwiak is an Associate Professor at Texas A & M University- San Antonio and Chair of the Department of Educator and Leadership Preparation. She has worked in the field of education as an early childhood and secondary teacher, program director, teacher trainer and professor. Her research focuses on examining continuity and discontinuity in early childhood education and early childhood systems with an emphasis on developing community-based Laboratory Schools and School-University Partnerships. Melissa has served as PI on numerous grants expanding early childhood services and in support of educational improvement. She is Co-Chair of the Consortium for Early Education Research and Family Empowerment and is the co-author of Continuity in Children's Worlds: Choices and Consequences for Early Childhood Settings.
