Kremlin worried about uncurbed Israeli-Palestinian conflict


(MENAFN) On Monday, May. 17 the Kremlin stated that uncurbed intensification of the Israeli-Palestinian clashes can endanger "fragile security system" of the region.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said to a daily briefing that an absence of shared trust and armed fights are do not help in reaching stability.

He noted: "major efforts are now being made by the (Middle East) Quartet, and countries are in contact with both the Israelis and Palestinians through bilateral channels to stop the exchange of strikes."

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has not been in touch with the Israeli or Palestinian leaders, but this communication can be arranged if needed, stated Peskov.
