People demonstrates against police cruelty in Chicago


(MENAFN) According to a Police statement released early Saturday morning, hundreds of people on Friday night paraded through downtown Oakland, U.S. state of California, to protest against deadly police bombardments in Minneapolis and Chicago.


The city's police department said in a twitter statement that "The City of Oakland experienced disruptive protests in the Downtown area."

The police reported that some demonstrators attacked a municipal member and police officer, broke windows, spray-painted buildings, set a car on fire along with multiple debris fires.

The police estimate the number of protesters to be between 250 and 300 participants. Despite the damage, police issued no citations and made no arrests.
