(MENAFN)The US special envoy to Yemen called on warring parties there to guarantee peace in the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
Timothy Lenderking posted on Twitter that "We call on the parties to seize this opportunity for peace, so that we may begin to end the suffering."
He further stated as congratulating Yemenis on Ramadan, "We know the suffering across Yemen is all the more difficult during this holy month."
Lenderking allegedly started a Gulf tour to talk about solutions to the Yemen crisis.
