China: Henan posts vigorous green tea exports


(MENAFN)A Uzbekistan-bound cargo train packed with 1,600 tons of Chinese green tea has left the tea farming base of Xinyang in central China's Henan Province, denoting the main batch of the city's tea exports up to now in 2021.

The city has exported a total of 1,893.2 tons of tea up to now in 2021, with a worth of 26.7 million yuan (USD4.1 million), increased 70.2 percent and 53.5 percent year on year, correspondingly, according to the Xinyang customs.

Boasting 2,300 years of tea cultivation history, Xinyang is well-known for its Xinyang Maojian green tea, a diversity that has been exported to Africa, Central and Southeast Asia and Europe.
