Afghanistan- Ghani and Dostum met after nearly 2 and a half years
Former first vice president Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum met with President Ashraf Ghani on Monday after more than 24 months.
Dostum Both sides have discussed the Afghan peace process, and the emergence of a national consensus for the success of the intra-afghan talks.
Ghani and Dostum also focused on preserving gains of the past two decades during the peace process.
During the meeting Dostum briefed Ghani of the security conditions in Kabul and Northern provinces, he added that practical plans are required for the clearance of Faryab-Mazar and Kunduz-Kabul Highways from the insurgency.
President Ghani welcomed Dostum's security plans and called for the implementation of the discussed ideas.
