(MENAFN)According to Azerbaijan Defense Ministry, the country’s army lost more than 2,881 soldiers in its operation to release Armenian-occupied territories in the Nagorno-Karabakh region and surroundings.
He announced the death toll of martyrs from the 44-day "Patriotic War" that began on Sept. 27, 2020 and finished on Nov. 10.
The number of martyrs increased to 2,881 from 2,855 after learning of funerals and identities of the deceased.
The ministry produced a list of soldiers who died as martyrs in the war, adding that 28 servicemen were still missing.
