  • In September 2020, the Mumbai Police had registered an FIR against Priyanka, Meetu, and Dr. Tarun Kumar, following a complaint from Rhea Chakraborty.

Rhea, Sushant's former partner and a film actor, had alleged that his sisters committed forgery and arranged a fake medical prescription to treat his anxiety.

The three were subsequently charged with forgery, abetment to suicide, cheating, and criminal conspiracy.

  • "The deceased died only five days after he had obtained the said prescription, where he was unlawfully prescribed psychotropic substances at the behest of Priyanka and Dr. Kumar," Rhea alleged in her complaint.

  • Sushant was found dead on June 14, 2020 at his apartment in Mumbai.

His death was termed a case of suicide after an initial investigation by the city's cops.

That case was eventually taken over by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

However, the CBI's investigation is still on, and the agency is yet to furnish its findings.
