During the co-signing of the two agreements between SDRPY and ALWALEED Philanthropies, Ambassador Al Jaber pointed out that Adequate Housing and Building Future for the Yemeni Youths projects are falling among development initiatives that are part of an ongoing work, of interest to SDRPY, in line with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince to back up development and stability, in Yemen, as these projects would contribute to creating job opportunities and realizing economic recovery, in Yemen.
For her part, Princess Lamia bint Majed indicated that a suitable house and other proper job opportunities are vital parts for the civil and socio-economic development, once well treated, and that a lot of benefits may, add to job opportunities growth and the stability of government as well as municipal administrations.
On the other hand, Yemeni Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Wa'ed Abdullah Badeeb has valued SDRPY endeavors to carry out these projects, on behalf of the Yemeni Government, reaffirming that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has proven to be an active partner who cooperates with Yemen, in all circumstances, pointing that SDRPY programs and initiatives contribute to transform the relief stage into a driving force for the development process.
Meanwhile, Maimuna Sharif, the Executive President of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) explained that such a partnership would consolidate participations of the UN Habitat, in Yemen, and empowering it to give a hand and support the needy categories, in Aden.
In addition, the Executive Director of the Education for Employment Andrew Bird said that his organization works since 2006 through a specific managing to link as many as 114,000 talented youth, offering them jobs or making them, at avail of the labor market.
SDRPY have carried out over 198 projects, in seven main sectors that provide beneficiaries with vital services such: health, education, energy, water, transport, agriculture, fisheries and building up of government institutions and implementing them, through adopting the best practices, in terms of development and reconstruction and intellectual pioneering, in the domain of sustainable development, in Yemen.
