(MENAFN)State-run news agency IRNA cited Iranian President Hassan Rouhani as urging on Wednesday for a strengthening of Iran's ties with Azerbaijan during his meeting with visiting Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
Rouhani further included that, "We hope we can take advantage of the opportunity created by new international conditions to further develop the relations between the two countries."
The Leader renowned the launch of a truce in the struggle over Nagorno-Karabakh region, saying than Iran is prepared to take an effective part in nurturing constancy in the district by helping reinforcing the case-fire.
He further expressed that the Iran-Azerbaijan border should be subjugated to intensify economic and commercial relations.
