(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Nov. 28 (Petra)- The media spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor, Mohammed Zeyoud, said labor directorates and offices nationwide continue to work Saturdays until the end of 2020.
In a press statement issued Saturday, Zeyoud said the labour directorates and offices have so far received more than a thousand transactions last Saturday, indicating that the services were provided taking into account the preventive health protocols implemented to curb the Covid-19 spread away from overcrowding.
The services were offered to recipients "easily and swiftly," he noted, stressing that the main goal of working on Saturdays aims to expedite completion of service recipients' procedures to save their time and effort, to preserve their health and safety, and to avoid overcrowding during weekdays.
Earllier this month, Labour Minister and Minister of State for Investment Affairs Maen Qatamin has decided to observe every Saturday as an official workday at labour directorates and offices nationwide until the end of the year.
