Egyptian government to modernize sector of transportation in Cairo


(MENAFN)-Kamel Al-Wazir, the Egyptian Minister of Transport, declared on Sunday that railways are planned to be constructed in his country to link it with Sudan in the south and Libya in the west.

The declaration is part of the efforts of the Egyptian government to renovate the transportation segment in the country, in particular the wrecked railway network that are exposed to accident.

Based on a statement published by the ministry on Facebook, the minister declared in a press conference in Cairo "a number of rail transport projects have been identified in which it is possible to cooperate with investors to implement them under the construction and operation system and transfer the project to state ownership ."
