0.35 percent rise in French stocks on Monday

French stocks increased on Monday, as the benchmark Paris CAC 40 increased 0.35 percent, or 17.74 points, to set at 5,051.88 points.

28 out of the 40 selected big firms saw increases in the day.

French electrical systems designer and builder Thales reported an increase of 4.34 percent as French-Italian multinational electronics and semiconductor manufacturer STMicroelectronics added 3.90 percent. European multinational aerospace corporation Airbus saw an increase of 3.63 percent.

French multinational integrated oil and gas company Total reported a decline of 1.51 percent while EssilorLuxottica, the French-Italian multinational corporation that produces ophthalmic lenses and optical equipment, saw its shares drop 0.94 percent. French multinational company Air Liquide saw a decline of 0.63 percent.
