(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Aug 6 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Health announced, Thursday, 620 new infections of the coronavirus (COVID-19), raising the total to 70,045. Deaths reached 469 with the addition of one fatality.
Official spokesperson of the Ministry of Health Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said in a press conference that the 620 infections included 423 Kuwaitis and 197 non-Kuwaitis.
The health official said that there are 127 patients receiving treatment at intensive care wards, Dr. Al-Sanad revealed.
The health authorities conducted 3,599 swab tests in the past 24 hours, raising the whole count to 522,200, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad added.
Earlier, the Health Ministry announced recovery of 704 people from the coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the tally to 61,610. (end)
