Kuwait- Turkey registers new 983 coronavirus cases, 26 deaths


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, May 30 (KUNA) -- Turkish Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca said Saturday 983 people tested positive for the virus in the past 24 hours while 26 persons died because of the disease.
Koca was quoted by the Anadolu news agency, monitored in Kuwait, as saying total cases rose to 163,103 and tally of deaths reached 4,515.
He added 1,032 people recovered to reach 126,984.
Koca said there were 649 patients in the intensive care units, of them 308 using ventilators.
Meanwhile, Turkish Interior Ministry said it would ease restrictions on public places including resaurants, parks and shops selling clothes starting June 1. (end)
