6 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Jordan, 20 cases recovered


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, April 14 (Petra) -- Six new Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were recorded in Jordan on Tuesday brining the total caseload to 397, Minister of Health, Dr. Sa'ed Jaber announced.
Speaking at the daily media update, the minister said 20 COVID-19 cases have recovered and discharged from hospitals as follows: 14 cases at the Prince Hamzah Hospital, 6 cases at the King Abdullah University Hospital (KAUH).
On details of the six new infections, Dr. Jaber said they were as follows: two truck drivers who came from abroad, tested and confirmed positive, one case of a Sri Lankan girl who contacted an infected case at the Prince Hamzah Hospital, and 3 cases in building in Northern Amman, who were in contact with an infected case in the Prince Hamzah Hospital.
The minister called on citizens to adhere to health standards and maintain social distancing in order not to be infected with the virus or infect others, following the reduction of restrictions on some commercial activities and shops
The health minister warned that any shop, which don't comply with health and safety standards, would be shut down.
