Lebanese government imposes daily curfew

(MENAFN) Lebanese government imposed a daily curfew from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. to stop the spread of coronavirus.

The Lebanese cabinet declared the curfew a day earlier as the amount of coronavirus infections has been increasing by at least 10 percent every day lately.

The curfew was met with mixed reactions by Lebanese citizens. Some of them said that the government should have adopted this measure earlier to control COVID-19 spread.

The cabinet will soon distribute 600,000 portions of food to the most vulnerable people who rely on their daily work to earn a living, according to Lebanese PM Hassan Diab.
