Ukraine- Government appoints Solodchenko acting head of State Fiscal Service


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Serhiy Solodchenko as acting head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, according to the website of the Ukrainian government.

"To place the temporary fulfillment of duties of the head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine on Head of the Chief Investigative Directorate of Financial Investigations of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Serhiy Viktorovych Solovchenko," reads Cabinet of Ministers order No. 108-r of February 12, 2020.

In another order, No. 107-r of February 12, 2020, the government recognized as invalid its decision of July 17, 2019 to appoint Denys Hutenko as acting head of the State Fiscal Service.

On December 18, 2018, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to create the State Tax Service and the State Customs Service by splitting the State Fiscal Service. On March 6, 2019, the government approved the regulations about the State Tax Service and the State Customs Service, and on March 20, it announced competitions for the heads of these agencies.

The State Tax Service started operating in late August 2019 and the new State Customs Service in early December 2019.

According to Finance Minister Oksana Markarova, the final stage of the reform of the State Fiscal Service in Ukraine will be the creation of a single Financial Crimes Investigation Service.
